Bach created a festive work with the “Christmas Oratorio”, composed specifically to be performed at Christmas of 1734. The work is full of moments that bring us memories of such significant dates. The text, based on the Gospels of Saint Luke and Saint Matthew, begins with the birth of Jesus and concludes with the adoration of the Three Wise Men.
