San Sebastian Gastronomika Euskadi Basque Country closed its 24th edition with a vindication of the gastronomy of generosity as opposed to that of competition. "Before starting this congress I thought it was going to be a transitional meeting between the pandemic and the 25th anniversary, however, it has been a congress of inspiration, of great inspiration", said Benjamín Lana, general director of Vocento Gastronomía together with Roser Torras, director of Gastronomika during the closing ceremony.
An edition that, with the slogan 'United Kulinary', aimed to confront the symbol of rupture that was Brexit by defending the culinary anti-Brexit with a gastronomy without borders. And the doyen of gastronomy congresses once again demonstrated this by bringing together more than 70 chefs (32 of them starred) and catering professionals at the Kursaal for three days in 40 presentations - in which the live tasting format returned - and 30 parallel activities, closing this edition with a large public attendance (12,131 accredited people, 1,318 congress participants of 32 nationalities, more than 10,000 tastings, 152 exhibitors and 371 accredited journalists).
