The Tabakalera International Centre for Contemporary Culture, as a support centre for creation, and the Kursaal Conference Centre, in its commitment to innovation and cultural dissemination, have once again joined forces to develop a new artistic proposal. Thus, the iconic façade of the architect Rafael Moneo became a creative canvas.
Kursaal and Tabakalera have once again collaborated on a new digital art proposal that forms part of the Irekiak Gallery Weekend programme. This third year of collaboration sees the presentation of the work Gradients, conceived through creative code, algorithms and generative processes by the Playmodes collective, and curated by the curator and researcher Irma Vilà i Òdena, who has a long career in art, science, technology and society projects.
The piece, a site-specific audiovisual work created specifically for the façade of the Kursaal Conference Centre, could be seen from Thursday 14 September until Sunday 17 September, from 20:30 to 22:00. This is the fifth installation developed at Medialab Tabakalera and projected on the façade of the Kursaal.
