Basque Railway 2020

On January 22, Kursaal hosted the IV International Railway Conference “Basque Railway 2020” which, organized by the Department of Economic Development and Infrastructures, Euskotren and Euskal Trenbide Sarea, addressed more than 500 agents related to the development of the sector in the field Basque, State and European challenges posed by the commissioning of new high-speed networks and by the liberalization of the European railway space due to the entry into force of the Fourth Railway Package. The event counted with the participation of the maximum European references in the railway field, among which the General Director of the International Union of Railways (UIC), François Davenne who participated in the opening of the day together with the counselor Arantxa Tapia and the Minister of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda, José Luis Ábalos. The day had the collaboration of Amurrio Ferrocarriles, Bombardier, CAF, Danobat, Dominion, Ekide, Ikusi, Ingeteam, JEZ Sistemas Ferroviarios, Talgo and Thales.
